Every third weekend in August, the rural community of Fort Jennings, Ohio swells from a population of 500 to several thousand people who gather to celebrate our military history and our veterans. This three day event features exhibits from all over the United States including the Vietnam era helicopters of the Huey 369 Organization.

Along the historic banks of the Auglaize River, an 1812 encampment of re-enactors can be found with period artisans, musicians, and many artillery and cannon displays. Black powder and cannon fire fill the air at live War of 1812 re-enactments that take place at twilight on Friday and again on Saturday afternoon. The Vietnam re-enactment group, The Wolf Hounds, make camp near a large military vehicle show held on Saturday and perform live re-enactments of Vietnam battles utilizing the Huey helicopters.  An enormous display of military memorabilia and artifacts is housed at the Jennings Memorial building built to honor Lt. Col. William Jennings who established the Fort during the War of 1812.  Many other military displays and tributes will be present including the Ohio MIA/POW wall and the Tomb of  the Uknown Soldier.

Other activities include a motorcade/motorcycle run, wine tasting, car show, and entertainment featuring Truckstop Manners, Copper Creek Road and Gary Stennett’s Cross Eyed Willie Band, and The 338th Army Band

Over $20,000 in cash and prizes can be won by attendees during the weekend of Fort Fest, and a variety of food and beverage options are available.
Flights on the Huey helicopter are arranged on a first come, first serve basis and the cost of these flights goes directly to the American Huey 369 Organization, however ALL military exhibits, re-enactments, and entertainment are FREE!

Help us to commemorate our military history and the contributions of all our beloved veterans.  Make a plan to join us at Fort Fest, one of the most unique festivals in Northwest Ohio!!
