Fourteen years ago, some ladies were brainstorming different fund raising ideas to support the new home of the Paulding County Carnegie Library branch in Oakwood. Little did they know that two of their attempts, the Chocolate Extravaganza and the Spring Tea and Style Show, would become anticipated annual events that continue to help maintain the branch library.

Each year a theme is chosen for the chocolate event with elaborate props, decorations and table settings. The price of the ticket not only helps support the library, it also guarantees you 30 different variations of chocolate, beverages, a favor, games and prizes, and an opportunity to make great memories. Many guests add to the fun by dressing according to the theme.

“The Great Gatsby” is the theme chosen for this year’s event, to be held Tuesday, March 12 and Thursday, March 14.

Tickets can be purchased now at the Cooper Community Library or by calling 419-594-3337. A discount of one free ticket with the purchase of an entire table of eight will be offered until Feb. 14. Tickets are $17.50 per person.

Last year, the event sold out on Feb. 13 so don’t procrastinate. Call for your tickets today.
