Renewable Energy Meeting

Ready to learn about renewable energy in today’s changing world? It’s hard to distinguish between all the vendors trying to sell you green energy options, and their information may not comply with our system and the cost/investment you thought you were getting. This is why we ask that you always come to us first. Rest assured that as your local, member-owned electric cooperative, we are here to give you honest information because we have your best interest at heart.

Our energy advisor, statewide generation and transmission representative, CEO, and others will be at the meeting to answer questions, provide information, and update our members on our current status with renewable energy (including our energy portfolio).

Anyone is welcome to attend. To RSVP for this event, please reach out to Erika Willitzer by Dec. 5 via phone (419-399-1868) or email (ewillitzer@ppec.coop) to let us know how many will be attending.

Meeting agenda:

  • 7 pm: CEO George Carter discusses the co-op’s philosophy on Renewable Energy
  • 7:15 pm: Energy Adviser Peter Niagu explains the application process and the steps for implementing renewable energy
  • 7:30 pm: Ben Wilson (Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives, Columbus) explains how the renewable energy credits are developed and how the payback works for members
  • 7:45 pm: Open Q & A session

We look forward to seeing you at our office Dec. 10 at 7 pm. We are located at 401 McDonald Pike, Paulding, Ohio, 45879.
