Ohio’s electric cooperatives offer youth scholarships

Since 1954, Ohio’s electric cooperatives have been helping graduating seniors continue their education through the Children of Members Scholarship Program. Each cooperative awards scholarships on a local level and will select one representative to compete for additional scholarship money from the statewide association, Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives, in Columbus. 

Our 2020 scholarship winners include the following students:

Girls Category:

1st place, $1,000 – Morgan Dowler, Crestview HS
2nd place, $800 – Claire Eiden, Ottawa-Glandorf HS
3rd place, $600 – Sydnie Siebeneck, Fort Jennings HS

Boys Category:

1st place, $1,000 – Elijah Knodell, Ottoville HS
2nd place, $800 – Daniel Siebeneck, Miller City HS
3rd place, $600 – Luke Spangler, Woodland HS

“At-Large” Boy or Girl

$600 – Grace Hoffman, Ottawa-Glandorf HS


Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative is not currently accepting applications for the children of PPEC members.

Scholarship Amounts for 2020:
$5,400 (plus additional statewide funds)

Applications for these scholarships must be submitted to Heather Hunt at hhunt@ppec.coop or mailed to: Paulding Putnam Electric Co-op, 401 McDonald Pike Paulding, Ohio 45879
