Want leadership experience AND a FREE travel opportunity to our nation’s capital? Cross a once-in-a-lifetime trip off your bucket list with Youth Tour.
Since the 1970s, Ohio electric cooperatives have provided an opportunity for hundreds of students to visit the nation’s capital as part of the annual Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. Each June, approximately 35 to 40 high school juniors and seniors from Ohio and Indiana meet up with about 1,800 other students from across the country as part of this program sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
The week-long trip takes place June 15-21, 2025. It includes visits to many of the most famous sites in Washington, D.C., and includes visits with the students’ congressional representatives. Sites of interest include:
- United States Capitol
- World War II Memorial
- Jefferson Memorial
- Smithsonian Institution
- Lincoln Memorial
- Vietnam and Korean War Memorials
- Washington National Cathedral
- Arlington National Cemetery
- … and much more!
