Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives Children of Members Scholarship
Since 1954, Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives have been helping graduating seniors continue their education through the Children of Members Scholarship Program. Each of the 24 co-ops in Ohio will award scholarships locally and then select one representative to compete for additional scholarship money from Ohio's Electric Cooperatives, the statewide association, in Columbus.
The Paulding Putnam Youth Programs Committee of employees will select one finalist from the Paulding Putnam Children of Members Scholarship to represent our co-op at Ohio's Electric Cooperatives on April 7, 2026, in Columbus.
General Scholarship: $2,500
- Ten $250 scholarships will be awarded via a random drawing during the Annual Meeting of Members on March 28. The video will be streamed on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
- Open to any member of any age (adult or college-aged)
- Any schooling – tech/trade/university
- Must show proof of transcript or enrollment letter
- No GPA requirements
- Must be a residential or general account holder or resident of the account holder's home.
Community Champions Award: $1,800
- Scholarships are awarded to students who are making an impact locally and giving back to their community.
- Can be used for any type of schooling – tech/trade/university
- Open to high-school seniors
- No GPA requirements
- Must live in the Paulding Putnam service territory, but parents or guardians do not have to be electric members.
