We are excited to welcome Sydney Coburn, Member Service Representative, to the PPEC team! She comes to PPEC with experience in customer service and a background in billing and sales.Sydney Coburn

Here's a fun Q&A with Sydney to help our members get to know the newest member of our PPEC family. 

Tell us a bit about your family and where you're from. 

"My husband's name is Dalton. We will be married for seven years in November. We have a spunky, sassy, and hilarious 7-year-old, Emery. I am also very close with my sister, Hailey, and her family. Her husband, Nick, and my nephews Declan and Dawson live about 20 minutes away from us. Both of our families live around the area, so we are able to see them frequently. We have lived in Defiance for almost six years."

Why did you want to work at PPEC?Sydney Coburn

"I've heard all the great things from others who have worked here, as well as all the great things that PPEC does for their members and those in the community. I was grateful enough to have stayed home with my daughter last year, but when I saw the job opening, I knew I needed to jump at this opportunity!"

Tell us about your work history.

"I previously worked at an internet provider in billing and sales. I also worked at Credit Adjustments doing Medical and Student Loan collections. Working so closely with customers in these roles has definitely taught me the value of building trust and the impact effective communication can have on success. Whether that be for the company or the customer!"Sydney Coburn

What will you be doing here at PPEC? 

"I will be a Member Services Representative. My goal is to help by bringing all of my previous knowledge from past jobs and experiences."

What are you looking forward to?

"I am looking forward to all I am able to participate in here at PPEC. Whether that be the fun things for the workers internally or the volunteer work in the community. I am also very excited to help with Member Appreciation Day, which some of my family and friends have always loved to attend. Also, I am excited for the Broadband Network. I previously worked with the internet; it is something I am very interested in and passionate about!"Sydney Coburn

What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of work?

"I love to read, bake, go shopping, and spend time with my family and friends. We also love to travel. We love to try new food places and coffee shops and go to the beach, the zoo, and Disney World! Also, getting little treats with my best friend, Ashley."

A fun fact about you?

"I flew for the first time last year! I will never drive again!"

Anything else you would like to add?

"I would like to add that I've felt so welcomed my first few days here at PPEC. Everyone is so genuinely happy to help, give advice, and make sure you are comfortable. I can't wait to see all of the opportunities this will bring to me and my family in the future!"
