Your pennies add up to BIG change
PPEC recently donated $11,692 to 7 local charities and community projects through the cooperative’s Operation Round Up Fund.
Thanks to the 80% of members who round up their electric bill and donate to this fund.
The Latest Operation round up grant recipients include:
- Antwerp Local Schools - Positive Behavior Program; $2,000 to purchase a bookworm wending machine
- Caring & Sharing Food Pantry; $1,294 to purchase a vacuum sealer and shopping carts.
- John Paulding Historical Society; $800 to purchase a digital projector for new programming.
- Kiwanis Club of Paulding County; $2,000 to help fund a new playground at Lela McGuire Jeffery Park.
- LifeWise Academy - Paulding Exempted School; $2,098 to purchase Recap Cards for students.
- MAV Youth Mentoring; $1,500 to support the Buddies program and supper club.
- Paulding County Economic Development; $2,000 to purchase T-shirts for education/career opportunities
The Paulding Putnam Electric Operation Round Up Fund is a voluntary charitable program. Participating members’ monthly electric bills are rounded up to the next dollar, with the additional pennies deposited in the fund. A Board of Trustees, composed of cooperative members and separate from the PPEC Board of Trustees, oversees the application and allocation process.
